Today's post written by Carol Drescher
We started off the morning on the bus with our driver John. Soon after we got on our way we realized there was no air or air conditioning! The people in the back of the bus could not hear him either. Roberta and Margaret could not take it!!!! But, we had to make the 8 hr trip to Galway to the Imperial Hotel! Margaret and Lisa threatened to take their clothes off p
and Roberta had to go to sleep or throw up! Luckily we made it without incident only to find out we had to drag our own bags to the room!

Getting back to the day, the first stop was the quaint town of Adare with the thatched roof cottages. Next on to Limerick home of the Shannon river(named after Roses daughter), King johns castle(1691)and Clancy strand bridge with St Patrick's in the distance.

Back on the hot bus, we went to the cold and windy Atlantic ocean and the cute town of Lahinch (which John wouldn't let us see)!

On the hot bus again we headed for the Cliffs of Moher and stopped at St Bridget's well who was the patroness saint of Ireland. Rose and many of the other hot applicants of the bus walked around the well 3 times for good luck!

On to the Cliffs of Moher which was very windy and cold but spectacular!

From the Cliffs to Lisdonvarna to drop off Rose, Lisa and Cris to the annual Matchmaking Festival. John wouldn't let them off the bus so they are still single!!

Back on the hot bus and windy roads thought the Burren (limestone)countryside to the Bay of Galway finally!

What a cute town with bustling streets and many pubs and restaurants. The average age in Galway is 27 yrs old!! So Cris, Rose and Lisa are out of luck again!!!! So we went to dinner instead at McDonoughs Seafood where Roberta ate a whole 3 oysters!! Yummy!!

Now after along day in a hot bus on windy country roads we are writing this blog for you all to see!! Enjoy!!
